According to the local council, West Somerset’s COVID19 infection rate is currently one of the highest in the county and we must ALL help stop the spread. Don’t take the chance, if your feeling unwell even if the symptoms are mild, get isolated and get tested. Close contacts and household members will also need to isolate while you await your test results. Act responsibly and we’re all in this together.
With this in mind, we have reviewed our COVID19 policy in the West Somerset area in order to do our part in protecting the community. As a temporary measure, 4 week suspension for all in-house installations and non-essential maintenance. We have started assembling self installation kits for new orders and faulty services. These kits will either suction mount to the inside of a window, or have a long trailing cable that can be closed into a window and will enable an engineer to visit and install externally. Once we are cleared to revisit, we’ll make permanent any temporary installation. We are aware that the self-install option may not be suitable for all orders and we will work with you to get you connected.
Our new deployment and network maintenance tasks are not affected by this restriction and our network expansion is still progressing at pace. Any work outside of West Somerset will continue as normal, however we will be stepping up risk assessments prior to home visits to ensure infection control is adhered to. We apologise for any disruptions or changes to expectations and rest assure, we’re doing all we can to keep the inconvenience to a minimum and expectations managed. Thank you.
